Yesterday I mentioned that SimFast came in second on Consumer Reports for the diet program that loses the most pounds. I still can't get over how SlimFast was higher than Weight Watchers. At least Weight Watchers teaches you to eat "real" food. A lot of my aunts do Weight Watchers and they've seen success with it. But of course I'm going to be the largest advocate of Jenny Craig because after years of searching for the right weight loss program I found it! They teach you slowly how to make healthy choices and after a few weeks you will start committing these practices to memory and then they will become habitual.
Let me start off by saying that I do not get paid by Jenny Craig to rave about how wonderful it is. I just cannot say enough positive things about this program. If you have battled your weight all your life and you're looking for something that will work lifelong I strongly urge you to try it. The only problem I keep running into is the cost. But...the more serious you are about your weight loss the faster you'll be on maintenance and off the program. I had a TON of weight to lose the first time so it took me two years to lose 80 pounds. This time I only had 30 pounds to lose. It is going slowly because right after giving birth your hormones are wacky, but it is coming off. I'd imagine I could get to my goal weight by the end of the summer (back to the weight I was at before birth...120). Shoot, I'd be happy with 125 at this point!!! My biggest challenge before doing the program was portion control. I was eating the right foods and exercising but I was eating enormous amounts of it. Who knew you were actually supposed to follow the serving size on the box?! It seems small when you measure it out but your stomach will eventually get used to it. The first two weeks of JC I had an awful headache and felt lethargic because of the drastic change in my diet. But, you level out after that and the portion sizes seem normal. I promise. Stick with it and you will find success!
